Hemels Curaçao is een uitstekende plek. Voor ons is het de 3e keer dat we hier verblijven en dat moet genoeg zeggen. We genieten van de gastvrijheid van Teuni en Paul en hun lieve honden. Die stelen echt de show. Het verblijf is aangenaam en rustig met voldoende privacy. Hemels Curaçao ???????? is echt een aanrader voor iedereen dus gewoon boeken en ervaar het zelf. Fantastisch

We have been the first couple to stay at the newly opened B&B Hemels on Curaçao which is run by Teuni and Paul, a lovely Dutch couple. Before we booked all our questions were replied to within a day via email, so booking was really easy and fast. We ordered airport pickup but forgot to confirm it when we boarded in Amsterdam. Nevertheless, Paul was already expecting us at Hato Airport and even drove us to the nearest supermarket after we had unpacked. Btw: In case you are unsure if you need a rental car: YOU DO! Paul and Teuni helped us get a small one very cheap (around 20€ per day) right on our first day. There is a parking space for one car on the premise, which we gladly could use. But parking on the street would also have been no problem. We had a couples room (Cas Abao) with a kitchenette and a tiny but new bathroom. This room is located downstairs next to the exit, so it was quite private and we also had our own little terrace. There is some technical device (water pump?) right in front of the house that makes some kind of noise every once in a while, which we shortly didn't notice anymore. The room was functional and nicely furnished. We got fresh towels and clean sheets regularly. The air conditioner worked perfectly fine. There is a small pool which we used a few times. But since Curaçao offers such a wide range of beaches and places to snorkel and dive, we mostly used it to refresh before dinner, which was nice to have. There are lots of places to lay in the sun or the shade around the pool and there also is a nice large table arrangement. Locationwise: As mentioned before you definitely need a car. You can drive to the center of Willemstad in about 15 to 20 minutes. Even the nearest beaches are too far away from Hemels to walk there. Getting to the beaches you will most likely want to visit takes 30+ minutes by car. We actually didn't mind the driving though and checked out a lot on the road. We stayed there for 15 days, had a car for 13 of them and drove 1000 km. Gas price was about 1€ per liter. So, in conclusion we had a wonderful stay at Paul and Teuni's Vacation Home. They were really great hosts, though they mainly spoke Dutch, with a little bit of German and English, which made conversations a little bit tricky. We wish we could have stayed longer at their little paradise and explore more of this fantastic island.
